At Surf & Skate we offer everyone free beginner skateboard lessons. Because we all have different athletic abilities, not everyone learns to skate at the same pace. With our help it usually takes less than 5 Minute to complete our introductory beginner lesson. We have some tricks that we have learned along the way that will speed up the learning process. Once we feel that you have mastered what we have taught you, we can make a good recommendation on your skateboarding purchase. We recommend that you come to the store and tell our staff what your goals are in skateboarding and we will do our best to help you accomplish your goals. It is good to know that at Muir Surf & Skate we have 30 demo skateboards for you to test. Our Demo Program will give you a chance to test out all the different shapes and sizes of skateboards that there are to ride.
If you are really interested in advancing in the sport of skateboarding and want to meet people that have similar interests, you can join the UCSD Skate Club at Muir Surf & Skate. The UCSD Skate Club is an organized club that hosts several events throughout the school year.
